Depression is a very common mental health problem that is characterised by a really low mood. Now, we all feel down from time to time – that’s human, but when you’re depressed you feel low for weeks at a time, months or even years.
Most people dismiss depression and don’t take it as seriously as other mental health issues but it can interfere with your life, make everything harder to do and at its most severe, it can make you feel suicidal.
